S-Type fuel flap

Every other car maker can design a working one except Jaguar, it seems.

Mine now refuses to open at all, either using the dash button or pulling the thingy in the boot. Is there any way in apart from using brute force and wrecking it?

A friendly technician supplied the answer (quoted here just in case you ever need to know). I quite like the last line!

fuel flap, only way to get in is too prise it gently open, (we usually say use a credit card), while pulling the thingy in the boot. You may need an assistant depends how long your arms are. Most customers are on the phone and out of fuel at a petrol station miles away when this happens, so I hope your not in that predicament too.

If it still wont happen its off too the main dealer and they will happily break it off and order you a new one. £100 including fitting painting and general nonsense...
