replacement engine on xk

if a xk had a replacement engine fitted in 2005, by jaguar would it have the latest time chains and steel lined.

Do time chains comes with a replacement engine as a complete set up. or could they be swapped over from previous engine, with given a like for like surely it would not be a nikasil engine with plastic tensioners

Contacted dealer where fitted, not 100% sure but said would of thought so. Asked about water pump thermostat said looks like it had not been changed.
