Steering wheel & indicator stalk lighting

Hmmm, are the buttons on the steering wheel meant to be lit up? (Assuming you're talking about the cruise control and stereo controls?)

Seems a bit odd if a car was designed without all it's controls visible at night.

Hi, sorry, I managed to inadvertently delete my thread starter whilst trying to edit it.

I think I've solved the mystery. Read in the JEC mag that when the X308 was introduced, due to it being a stop-gap model prior to the X350's introduction, Jaguar took the decision not to go to the expense of tooling up for steering wheel button and stalk illumination.
