Looking for tyres

After my little experience yesterday, following which I can put my finger through the sidewall, I think I'm in need of a new tyre - or possibly two, as there's less than half the tread left on the other side.

The originals are Pirelli P Zero 245/40 18" (this is a 2001 S-Type) but I'm happy to consider decent and hopefully less expensive alternatives. I've seen Falkens at about £100 each inc VAT - does anyone have other suggestions and/or best places to get them from?

I have just fitted Toyo Proxes T1-Rs to my XKR, very pleased with them so far.
To early to tell what the wear rate will be but cheaper than Pirelli and more sticky.

If the wear is uneven I would give your car a FUll geometry check
