Performance upgrades for NA V8 XJ8
Discussion
Newbie Here - so be gentle
I'm thinking about adding a little more sparkle to the performance
of my XJ8 (X308 4.0l SWB), I have already upgraded the brakes myself (Discs, Pads
and braided hoses). I also am running K&N Filter.
I am next considering exhaust and maybe ECU upgrades
I know about Racing green cars and Paramount performance (both here
in the UK) I also have spotted a supply only exhaust from David
Manners (again in the UK)
Does anybody have any experience with these type of upgrades? - Do
they ruin the relaxed cruising style (I would like to add a little
more presence when on wide throttles)?
Any comments greatly appreciated

I'd definately suggest you speak to the chaps at Racing Green. They'll be able to advise you for sure.
Having said that, a decent sports exhaust system from Racing Green (Arden system) are usually quite restrained and give a gentle burble and subtle hint at power as opposed to an offensive 'max-power' style cannon bolted on the back.

The kind of cost you'll incurr to make significant changes such as exhaust will put you into a situation where you could probably justify selling your XJ8 and getting an equivalent XJR - a significant performance upgrade!
Obviously you probably have a certain attachment to your current steed given the work you have already done, so it may not be an option for you, but that would be my recommendation.
Oh, and welcome!
