Set the cruise control at 90mph follow somebody that's doing 70mph - if you crash into the back of them you haven't got it!
Seriously - if you look in the manual it will have pictures of both adaptive and non-adaptive, they look different so you will be able to tell which you have.

Im sure it was not available way back then think it first came out around 2002 or summat
Just stick it on cruise at 80 and if you shunt the back of the car in front you dont have it ,, then sue Jaguar
