Silly question perhaps. My 2000 XKR has cruise control but I can't work out if it's adaptive (ie. detects vehicles in front).

I haven't picked up the car yet so can't have a play. Is there an additional control beyond +, -, set and reset?

I think for adaptive cruise control there is an extra button next to the valet button under the dash, also there are thumbscrew type controls on the steering wheel near the cruise control buttons for setting the distance etc

The cruise control on/off switch on the gear lever consol next to the sport button should say 'ACC'

I could be wrong but I didn't think Active Cruise was available on a 2000 XKR?

Set the cruise control at 90mph follow somebody that's doing 70mph - if you crash into the back of them you haven't got it! silly

Seriously - if you look in the manual it will have pictures of both adaptive and non-adaptive, they look different so you will be able to tell which you have.
