exhaust sounds

I have listened carefully to some exhaust mods on xk,s and it seemes to me that the exhaust sound is just a louder version of the original and not the required v8 rumble,unless I,m missing something, thats not such a bad thing as the tail pipes look better but its all about sound isn,t it..

I love the Arden exhausts, the sound they make is a real throaty rumble. It's not too aggresive (in a max power way), it purely gives the impression of true perfomance.

I have heard a customers XKR (previous model 4.2) with Paramount Performance Exhaust sounded great, apparently you have 3 choices of "sound" from enhanced to Full sports Pipes looked tasteful too!

The DM exhaust gives a nice V8 burble on tickover, a fairly aggressive growl on kickdown, remains relatively unobtrusive at cruising speeds and doesn't cost an arm and a leg. I've put one on my XK and I'm very happy with it.
