Just bought me an S-Type

Just purchased myself a V nice Jag S-type. 3L SE, with fJsh, electic seats, satnav, etc, etc. 69k on the clock in Jag Racing Green. Was owned by Jaguar Cars Ltd, Browns Lane, Coventry for first 6 months, then been owned by same guy until last month.

have scoured the forum for buying advice, think I've covered everything. RAC give it the once over tomorrow, and then hopefully pick it up on Friday!!

Just looking forward to a nice smooth powerful ride after driving a smart for 3 years!!

Ex-Jaguar cars are great buys. They tend to have LOADS of spec and initially represent great value for money.

FYI: It looks like British Racing Green to me. JRG wasn't introduced then, either that or it's Alpine (or Aspen, always get the two confused).

Simple way to tell is if it's metallic or not. BRG is a solid colour.

When I get it, was planning to take it to a Jag specialist, any suggestions in the Gatwick area? I've got a friend who does some work for Racing Green, and they seem like a nice bunch. Any feedback?

They're a nice bunch over at Racing Green, certainly know their stuff and are full of enthusiasm for the brand. Not the cheapest but you get what you pay for.

Well the RAC have checked it out and found nothing major, just a few small bits that the garage will fix.

So will pick it up on Friday!
