Hi chaps, I went to see a black XKR last night, the front bumper had a couple of light scrapes but was pretty crazed & the paint quite dull, other than that immaculate. Bumper will be sprayed if I buy it but is crazing/dullpaint normal after a front scrape or anything more sinister?

Other than that the car looked pretty much immaculate.

I can't see why a good bodyshop couldn't have it looking like new and lasting as long as the rest of the car.

cool, thanks.

Having a blowby test done also, its a 99T with 43k miles, serviced 3000 miles ago so hopefully ok.

Does 19k sound reasonable for a black cab, standard wheels, cant really see many options, were there many ?

Nice, you've got the arden kit on yours by the looks of it.

Bet that's a STUNNING looking motor!

Car has been modified by Racing Green cars with Arden Wheels, Body Kit, Suspension Lowering, Mirrors etc.

It also has a Sports Exhaust, Brakes Upgrade and has had a Full Interior Conversion.

I think it looks stunning, but then of course I would!

I will post some piccies when I get home.

I wish they still made champagne 20" Paris alloys. They were/are beautiful.

You must've spent some serious money on that! The Racing Green tonneu cover is £1,000's on it's own isn't it?

Yeah, it has become a bit of an obsession I'm afraid.

However, I bought the car at 3 years old with 35,000 miles in immaculate condition. It is not my everyday transport and so I aim to keep her forever

Its awesome, lovely colour. Nice one

Don't mean to ask rude questions, but do those modifications bump up the insurance by a long way, or is it fairly cheap??

Thanks.

Insurance!!!

Yep, any mods seem to bump up insurance, even ones like improved brakes which should make car safer.

Living in merseyside doesn't help.

I pay over £1000/year for 8000 miles restricted.
I am in my mid 40s with 15 years protected no claims.

Still, you only live once.
