Squeaking Rear Suspension

Well you didn't really give anyone anything to go to help.
Even know the type of Jag might have helped.
Glad you've sorted the problem.
Sorry A8Hex, my initial post gave all info (Jag S type 2000 3.0ltr but I couldn't stand the squeaking for more than a day.....checked for posts when I got home, there were none, so took the bull by the horns and stripped the rear corner on the Jag down.
Somehow solved the problem ( still dont know which bush was squeaking) and edited my post to try to delete it, but the thread title was still up so I left my "sorted" message.
It seems I just dont have any patience with a car that isnt running right.....I mean I was even driving around with the rear nearside window down to see if the squeak was getting worse.......sad buggar or what. My dad in hois day would have just driven the thing until the wheel fell off, " its only a squeak" !!
Cheers,
Tony

Sorry I didn't remember seeing those details, I just remembered seeing your posting about the squeak and thinking at the time there wasn't any other info... perhaps I should learn to read more carefully.
Have you come across the Jag-Lovers site, there tends to be more technical discussions there, although I've never been into the S-type forum. Certainly the XK and X300 groups are very active.
Cheers
Ken
