Power Steering S type

Anyone out there had any problems with power steering pumps on S types ??
Mine has just been into the dealer for a new Windscreen wiper motor and they have found that the power steering pump is leaking, a new one is needed at about £500 + ?
So has anyone had any bother with these in the past or knows if its a weak part of the car ?
The thing is since this is a 2001 car, and is due for replacement pretty soon I was going to part ex it for a newer one
And for anyone out there thinking of buying a pre 2002 S type I would say beware, or get it THOUROUGHLY inspected before you but it, on mine I have had 3 Anti roll bar bushes, 1 drop link, 1 rear bearing, a new windscreen wiper motor, and now the power streering pump. And at jaguar rates its like being robbed by a friendly burglar !!!
But a brilliant car when its going ok.
