Dashboard Light

I have a question regarding the lights on my dashboard. This is kind of hard to explain, but i am talking about the lights that appear next to the "service engine soon" and other lights that come on over there on the bottom of the dash. So i just recently noticed that there is a light...far left corner and its red in color. Its hard to describe how it looks but it just started coming on right when i start my car. Could someone tell me what the purpose of the light is?

Probably something to do with your coolant leaking out in the other thread!!

hah...thats what i was thinking too...but the problem is that it doesnt stay on :-/ thats what i was thrown off by ??

Its an engine temperature check light. If it comes on when driving you're cooking the engine. Stop and wait until the engine cools down.

Its likely that if it comes on just when you start the engine and then goes off, a low water level caused by the leak is causing an erronious signal.
