S type R Wheels
Discussion
Hi Lee, think the 20's will be too big. 19's seem to be the biggest. Arden do a really great looking rim.

I've got 19s on my S Type R, but I don't see why 20s wouldn't work as long as the wheel width and offset are correct. You'll have to select tires which maintain the diameter of the originals. Keep in mind that the necessary lower profile tires may affect the ride, though I have 245/35-19s on the front and 275/30-19s on the rear and ride quality is fine. Come to think of it, I don't know if you could find suitable 20" tires for 20" wheels. You'd need something like 245/30-20s for the front and 275/25-20s for the rear. I don't know if anyone makes those sizes.
Good luck
Good luck
Laurie B is running 19" Arden alloys on his S-Type R.
We tried everything to go bigger than Arden's recommended (and German TUV approved) tyre sizes on Laurie's car.
Categorically proved to ourselves and to Laurie that this was just not possible unless you want to spend very serious sums modifying the wheel arches.
Suggest stick with the Arden recommended sizes (e-mail me if you want to know them) and spend the balance of the budget on lowering or quad exhausts !
