XK8 - rattle on start-up

Has anyone experienced a rattle on cold start with the AJ V8? It isn't the secondary tensioners as I changed them only 2,000 miles ago and it sounds different this time around. The noise is only apparent on a cold start and is similar to a hand full of nuts going around in a washing machine drum. As it is only there when cold I suspect it has something to do with the primary timing chain tensioner, as perhaps it bleeds down over night and thus the chain rattles.

I would have another URGENT look at the tensioners. Just because they're new doesn't mean that they haven't come adrift or broke. Did you fit them yourself?

I get a vey tapetty noise on mine which is a lazy hydraulic tappet. Rev it up a bit and it goes once the ols gets to it. Yours sounds a bit noisier though
