We hear that Ford is pondering the sale of the historic Browns Lane plant -- once the home of Jaguar since 1928. "The possible sale of Browns Lane is one of several options that is currently being studied," said a spokesman, confirming a report in the Wall Street Journal.

He would not confirm the newspaper's report that Ford intended to cut Jaguar production by six to seven per cent in 2006 following slack demand.

Pointless story. Production has stopped at Browns Lane, the only portion used is a small area for wood trim production. What else would you do with it apart from sell it?

I agree PP.
Wouldn't suprise me about a cut in production, or a cut in more job......even at Whitley.

Maybe it's not just Browns Lane that's up for grabs.
