Engine out of my 67 E-Type, which has been heavily worked over in the past. I am going to have to bore it out further and match it with some pistons as I blew a hole in one and have scored the wall sprinting at Lydden this year.

How far can I bore the block and what capacity will that give me within reason?

Is there a crank available that gives a longer stroke that will get me more capacity while I'm at it?

The aim is to get to 5 litres on the 4.2 block in the most reliable way.

Regards

John

I think that +30 is the Jaguar stated maximum on oversize pistons for a 4.2.
It is my understanding that getting 4.2 was a squeeze and you should contact one of the specialist engine people such as Rob Beere or VSE
Hope this helps.

Ken, thanks, Rob Beere does a crank that strokes it up to 4.9, with the overbore that I need and the +30s I will be there, all the best John
