I remember my dad always used this stuff as it was virtually impossible to have a water tight V12.

Somebody once told me that even the Factory used it...?

Is it recommended to use today or is it likely to clogg the system and make it less efficient?

I have a few dribbles here and there.

thanks

It is recommended in the manuels for my 1989 3.6 xjs as part of the service, so i guess it can't do that much harm, never used it myself though.

It's reccomended on the manual but almost every other guide thinks it's the stupidest piece of advice ever (eg. Kirby Palm's XJ-S book). It won't take long for it to gum up the entire system.
