XJ8 Head gasket replacement

I can't see how it would cost £5K.

Hi, if it's any help at all.......I had the heads skimmed, the gaskets replaced
and ALL the timing gear replaced for £2k at a main dealer..
This was on my 2000 XKR so if anything might be cheaper on a XK8?

Karawara88, Check your thermostat and water pump, engine may have overheated. New type pump available (old one plastic). Also check Broadbeans747's excellent post on the Jaguar forum.....
