I am hoping that you can help me with a few issues I have with my 51 S-Type-R.

In a previous post o.versteer confirmed that his has a cover as you can see from the picture mine has not, should I be worried?

Has the car a full Jag service history. Did you buy from a Dealer? If so you should be asking them the questions.

IMHO if a car has bits missing from it, it may not have been well treated, just my tuppence.

Thanks for the reply (on both threads) Triple7.

Yes the car is from a main dealer (Watford) and has a full Jag service history, and a full warranty.

They are a descent bunch, I just think the salesman doesn't know his cars as well as he might. I asked on pickup if it should have a cover (most modern cars do) he said he didn't know

I have already had it back with them to check the auto handbreak as the pads were rubbing (sorted) and the headlights seemed a little low (also sorted).

I am confident they will be willing to sort out these niggles, but I prefer to come from a position of knowledge, it's the engineer in me

Hopefully everything will be OK before my euro trip.
