X150 headlight powerwash
Discussion
Just putting this here as someone might find it useful / google might pick it up when someone is looking to do what I did. Ignore slightly odd style, I'm dropping in key words so someone who googles can find this thread!
I just replaced the headlamp powerwash / headlight washer pump motor on my Jaguar X150 XKR and I couldn't be sure which compatible parts fitted so I bough the Jaguar OE part, part no C2S4086 for £67.
Taking the old one out the Ford part no on it is 5w93-13k082-aa / 5W9313K082AA and 3rd party replacements start at £20. Same pump is in the X250 XF, X350 XJ and X351 XJ. Probably others too but I won't mention the FWD transverse Jaguar (turd who shall not be named) because hopefully more can get scrapped for failing their MOTs on a faulty powerwash
I've heard of people buying Ford parts and the connectors being different but I can confirm that the Ford part no above is exactly what you want.
It's very easy to change. OSF wheel off, half a dozen T25 bolts out of the wheel arch liner, pull it out of the way, and you can just pull the pump free. The washer pump is higher up and over towards the wing and tucked in, so is every so slightly fiddle to remove. No gauze on the powerwash gromet to clean but while you're there it's worth removing the screenwash pump motor too and cleaning the gauze.
I have found over the years that the FoMoCo pumps Jaguar use are crap, my X300s went through them at a real pace.
