Stunned by the quality of this XKR today and I happily upset everyone by saying I wouldn't take an F type in its place .
For me its already a modern classic and in this colour and spec almost timeless .

Wow that must be the last one that'll ever get sold through the dealer network!

I prefer them to the F-Type too.

I wouldn't be surprised to see our old friend Simpo up at Sytner with that old DB9 trying to do a deal .
He is probably running it past the Mrs as we speak . " Please love "biglaugh

I would tend to agree with the OP

Paid about that for my XKR Dynamic in Jan, although had 10k more miles. History and a 1 yr warranty again from a JLR main dealer in Ipswich. Their service was excellent and a pleasure to deal with. It has been faultless since then.

I looked at F Types as well. But just preferred the overall package of the XKR. And the shape is a timeless classic both as a coupe and a convertible, which is not always true. Have just returned from 1000 mile trip to Angouleme with this group:

And it was probably the best gt package overall (in my opinion). Mainly due to the engine. It is just effortless grunt. The AMs require much more effort to use the performance. The BMW was modded to 575 bhp and proper quick but again needed lots of gear changes to extract that power.

I understand people take them beyond the 510 bhp, but I’m really not sure it is needed. And I never thought I’d say more power was unnecessary.

You've got a better interior than the Synter car too.

I love mine, it's a poster child for why supercharging is so much better for driveability than turbocharging whatever the paper figures say.

In complete agreement with OP, but then I might be a bit biased! biggrin

Here's mine, had it 7 years now... still makes me laugh every time I take it out although that has been infrequently in recent years as I've been WFH since COVID.

Mine's the one in front, the other one facing away is my son's.
