Overpriced XKR?
Discussion
Hi all,
What do you think as to the pricing on this one?

That's what I thought. There is an almost identical one but coupe over at Arun Pulborough, known for being a bit pricey at only 15k. I wonder who they think is going to pay that? It has a nice interior and is what I am looking for, but I cannot see it being worth more than 15 max. I wonder who they think is going to pay anything near that? They seem reputable people so I wonder what they are thinking?
Might be an old design, but dam, that's a beautiful looking car and example!
Doesn't matter than the 'newer' version is a better car. That's not always the point. Maybe someone just wants this particular shape and version.
That said, I'd agree its steep on price. Maybe if it had 20k miles on it.

The X100 XKR-S was rare, if it was genuinely in mint condition and had very low miles (as in, at all - not just for the age) then a collector might be prepared to pay this kind of money but I think this is extremely optimistic. Wasn't surprised in the least to see that it's Swallows that are selling it, though. What do you think as to the pricing on this one?

As others have said at this money I would be walking and although Niall above says its comparatively rare , rarity doesn't necessarily mean more desirable so you would have to want it . If I were you it would be the later X150 I would be buying . None of those dreaded box sections and a far better driving dynamic .
Here's a later X150 4.2 XKR-S, with 20k fewer miles showing and is the alloy-body model so won't be full of rust. It's also nearly £500 cheaper. If I had ~£23k to blow on a Jag and wanted something rare and a bit special to actually use and enjoy then it would be this all day long.
