XJ X350 door locked
Discussion
Came back from a trip, to find the passenger front door won't unlock. I suspect the deadlock is applied. Tried unlocking withn the dashboard button, trying interior and exterior handles etc, to no effect.
Is it possible to get the door card off with the door closed? The Jag forums aren't clear. In one posting, a poster mentioned a dealer could get it fixed in under an hour, so I am wondering whether to get it booked in with E&E or Scotty Jackson to get it opened. I can fit a new lock myself (if that's what's needed). I don't really want to butcher the door card as it seems black ones are hard to find, and they are pricey (£100+).

Looks like it is possible to get the outer door card off, but I don't fancy the next step of cutting a hole in the door frame,

The inner cover though might be problematic if I can't get to a couple of torx screws, But I think I'd rather wreck an inner door card if necessary. They could be epoxyied back together, or just replaced, as used items aren't expensive;

The top right screw will be the problem one. If I can get a torx bit on it, I can get a spanner on the bit.
