Xf brake caliper removal
Discussion
Hi all
I trying to change the front pads on 2018 xf today.
The pins that hold the calipers are 7mm on every car I have ever owned. Not jaguar. I can almost get my finger in the end of the pins. I took a picture with my camera to make it wasn’t a torx head. It is a very big Allen key.
Anyone know what size. It looks to be 10 maybe 12mm.

Thanks for you comments, some research indicated that there are two disc sizes. Mine are the larger 320mm discs.
My calliper's were held on with 11mm Allen keys. The smaller discs use 9mm.
As a footnote once I had the correct tools it’s a really simple job, I did both sides in less than an hour.

That's odd - the 5.0 XKR had 380mm front discs and used a 9mm allen head on the sliding pins. Must have changed for the later models I guess. My calliper's were held on with 11mm Allen keys. The smaller discs use 9mm.
