I quite like that. Not the underwhelming and overpriced 911 everyone goes for.

Lovely thing, pretty much unbeatable for value, and I feel when it came to thier 2 door cars Jaguar always got the styling right. This looks great in either coupe or convertible guise. Couple that with a known performer like the supercharged V8 and its just wonderful. I've seen it said the V6 supercharged is the more nimble car, due to lower mass in the nose, but in all honesty I think having an F Type at all is winning at life.

Great purchase. As my 5.0L XKR just passed 210,000 miles, I find myself thinking about what I'll replace it with if it ever dies (which seems unlikely, it's been so good and reliable). Since the 5.0L engine is so familiar and great to me, I naturally gravitate toward the F-type. Hope you have as good an experience as I've had. Enjoy. And don't baby it, my car has been to the track many dozens of times with no adverse effects.

I have been looking for something good looking enough to replace my Mustang 5.0GT for years, think I've found it

Congratulations it will be good to hear your thoughts in comparison to the Mustang once you pick her up . A wonderful engine so I am personally delighted you opted for the V8 R . They come pretty well optioned so keep us posted how you progress with her

You should probably buy an F v8 and tuck it away for when you need it.

what I should have done was buy another XKR when pre-pandemic pricing in the US could get you a nice car in the low $20,000 USD range. Now the 5.0L cars are in the mid $30s. But I have thought about tucking an F-type away just in case.
