Hi
Is your model the X150 as 2006 was when they changed to XKs (x150) rather than XK8
Bit of a coincidence to fail after a flat battery .
Probably can be fixed by a seat re calibration , this is something that happens on X150s.
Need a dealer with SDD software or a friendly nearby owner who has a copy
If it’s a X150 then a hard battery reset may help.
I don’t know if this can work on a XK8
Good luck

The wonders of Jaguars and their electrics (I guess all other brands can be just as bad)

Not a seat but I stupidly flattered battery and then the roof stopped working.
Modern cars are basically computers on wheels and 40 plus years of working with computers as taught me that when they're buggered pulling the power out and making them start again from the beginning is often the easiest solution.
I'd try pulling out any fuse connected to the seats, counting to 10 or better still going for a pint and then popping them back in again and see whether the stupid computer comes back to life.
Worked for me and my roof anyway.

Yes it’s a 150 I’ve had a garage try and reset seat but had no luck
I suspect the Motor is ok on your car and I also wonder about this Garage that's apparently failed to reset the seat calibration .The trouble I often find with these Garage Diagnostic Tools is the capability of the user so with this in mind I would be searching for a Jaguar Independent local to where I lived .
