I'm thinking of saving for a newer car and I wouldn't mind a 2 seater sports/GT car but I go away on holiday with my cars 2-3x/year and it needs to be able to take me, a passenger plus 2 week's worth of luggage....I assume an F Type is a bit too small to fit the bill for that? Stupidly, my dad had an F Type R for 4-5 years (sold it about a month ago!) and I don't think I ever looked in the boot! laugh This is one of the reasons I've always been drawn to sports saloons, because they offer a good compromise, but thought I'd see!

Cheers.

Roof rack spin Or how about a 2+2? My current and last cars are/were 2+2s, and whilst the rear seats are no use for humans, they do give you another 'boot' which can make all the difference.

My coupé is fine for two weeks for two people. A couple of smaller suitcases (bigger than airline carry-ons). One at the rear left side and one at the front right side. Size limited by getting them to fit snuggly. Then fill the holes with soft bags. Coats on top if needed.

Boring question deserves long boring answer!

It’s surprisingly capacious, we checked this carefully before my wife bought her coupe as it was going to be our only car for a year or so.
With the parcel shelf removed it is 405 litres (only 15 litres smaller than the Evoque she had before).

We can fit 2 large Antler Duolite cases in it (they are shaped very well for it but sadly now discontinued) the case’s dimensions are 74x49x33/36cm with circa 100 litres of capacity each. They have a rigid back and slightly squashy front, I imagine you can get a new equivalent.

Easily enough for 2 weeks or more each. As per the poster above that would still leave room for additional items in the recesses to the left and right of the boot.

Hope this helps!

Many thanks! I guess when the time comes I will need to take a good look. So it's no longer ruled out for definite!

Cheers.

I am also looking very seriously at an F Type coupe and had the same question. Don't bother with the convertible if you are worried about storage space. In other news, have you looked at the Porsche Cayman? I've had two and there is lashings of space for luggage since there is a large 'frunk' as well as the boot space. Cost of a good 987.2 or 981 is not significantly different from the F Type although you wont get the awesome exhaust note unless you add a special aftermarket exhaust. Wonderful drive though!

Apologies to have mentioned the 'P' word on this forum! No disrespect meant of course!
