IIRC Ace's is on the outer edge of the North Circ so presumably it is still legal to travel there without falling foul of ULEZ.

As far as I know that is still the case . Its a bit overcast this morning but hopefully we get a good turn out . It will be my first visit without a Jaguar so I shall stick the Vantage outside and wander across

Well a great afternoon and a decent turnout but surprisingly four Models totally absent . No MK2s , no XJS , no MK10 and no 420G . I was certainly surprised by the MK2 absence as usually they are relatively plentiful . For many years now at these gatherings there is one Model I always look forward to seeing and thats the Jaguar Super V8 and thankfully I wasnt disappointed . V8HNT which hails from Bedford , in Pacific Blue and missing only one option a Sunroof is a truly beautiful Jaguar and its condition is completely down to its owner Steve . Complete with its proper Prestige Alloy wheels I couldn't fault it . The paint was sparkling , the chrome effect trim free from that milkiness that you find as the car ages and the headlights sparkling with no cloudiness whatsoever . Sat on matching nearly new Pirelli 6000 tyres as two longstanding Jaguar Owners we began to talk values . Although its not for sale it must be an easy £15k to £20k , its history is exceptional .
Next up was Mr Mistry and his Series 3 4.2 that over the years he has done much work to . It was good to see the GKN Kent Alloys on the car with the Pirelli P4000s though he tells me he still has the original pepper pots at home . Pirelli I believe no longer make the P4000 , I never thought to ask where he picked them up from . A proper Jaguar man Mr Mistry was telling me that back in the Seventies his father was a mechanic working on Jaguars but like most of us could never afford one . Many years later he was made aware of a Company liquidation and in his fathers memory took the plunge and bought the car .Of course the enthusiasm has now spread to his wife and son who were both there today .
Hopefully we shall reconvene at the Earls Barton meeting on Wednesday evening , Summer is almost upon us and hopefully some lovely Jaguars will start emerging from garages and driveways up and down the Country
