A friend has a 1999 S Type with a MANUAL handbrake which isn't working on one side

Does anyone know how to adjust them ?

Google can only find info on the electronic ones

The cable is centred and both caliper arms are moving the same amount

There doesn't seem to be any adjustment under the car nor at the calipers I can't see much around the lever itself hence the question before I remove the centre console

Edited to clarify year

Perhaps explains things a bit better for you ? You are going to tell me now that its a later S Type thats old simply because its had a few previous Ownerslaugh

Sorry - it's old as in its the oldest of the newer S Types IIRC it's a '99

The later ones had electronic handbrakes hence the reference to "old"

No worries , I did kind of think that would be the case . On the later S Types with the Manual Handbrake , I believe its adjusted by pulling the handbrake lever up and down a few times .
