I think I am correct in saying Guy Salmon did a couple of Special Editions based on the XJS and I remember looking at this in period . Sadly at the time I never had the money to make a purchase but coming across this one for sale on Ebay reminds me of what a nice job they made of it with a few discrete modifications . In my humble opinion much better than the Bespoilered TWR versions that followed .

I thought they were mostly two tone black or blue over silver and they never looked this nice.... called the Guy Salmon Jubilee, also I am sure that they were all 5.3's... I only thought they sold a handful but a quick search on images shows that many people liked the fact that someone stuck a mini acropolis on the front of an XJS...

Interesting that the front view isn't in the advert. Could that be the reason?

It's a bit odd, but arguably better than the gaping catfish maws on many new cars, notably the the new Vantage.

You can just glimpse it Simpo if you expand the picture . The new Vantage I intended to purchase but struggled with the frontal aspect and all that excessive bodykit on the rear , like something you would find in Max Power a decade ago .

I like the car for two reasons Simpo and I was never a great admirer of the XJS . As a kid I was waiting on a replacement for the E Type and can remember how disappointed I was at this inevitably yellow monstrosity . I think the black suits the shape and I particularly like the rear spoiler which in my humble opinion Jaguar nor TWR ever got quite right . Its the best part of 50 years now Simpo since the introduction of the XJS , there will be many reading this thinking " where did that go " confused
