Onsite earlier today and our Traffic Marshall who runs a 2012 Jaguar X351posed me a question which never having owned such a vehicle I couldn't answer . The problem is the Building Site muck and grime playing havoc with the leather interior . Its his intention to fit a seat cover to protect the front drivers seat and so far he has failed to separate the headrest from the seat . Does anyone have any experience with this solving this problem ? The two headrest supports simply enter a plain chrome ring on the back of the seats and a good hard pull on the headrest achieves absolutely nothing . I spoke to my local Indy earlier and they have never had to do such a task so could offer no advice .

No idea, but can he find a cover that will include the head rest?

My Jaguars have all had a little plastic doofer at the base of one of the posts that you push in to release it.

I've just looked it up on a Jag forum and for that model you just pull really hard. Sit in the back seat, with the front seat reclined. Pull the headrests up to the maximum. Grip the steel shafts and pull hard.

We checked the various Jaguar Forums and thought many refer to headrests and Jaguars none we found specifically referred to the X351 . Is there a difference I don’t know . Naturally we reclined the chair and tried the method suggested but to no avail . It’s one of those situations where it could all go horribly wrong .

aren't the headrests electric? mine have always been, pretty sure anyway to remove them will involve getting into the mechanism in the seat
