XJ81 engine studs
Discussion
Does anyone know the correct stud dimensions for part EBC4088 ? They are the studs from the intake manifold to the injector rail.
When I measure a good one I get the following thread pitches, M6 .25 and M6 .9
Both seem to be very unusual to the point of being impossible to find as cutting dies.
As the part is now NLA, and so far, I have not been able to source replacements I thought I would be able to cut my own, but with these sizes this also seems to be unlikely. Did Jaguar really use odd threads, did I measure badly or are they really SAE threads that happen to match Metric?
Thanks
Andy

I have never done the job Andy and to be fair I would be wary of getting a number of differing answers when asking such a question on any Forum . I found these Guys very helpful when I worked on my Aston DB9 some time back , hopefully they can do likewise for yourself .
