2010 XJ onwards Adaptive Cruise
Discussion
Hi, hoping someone will know this.
I've found myself looking at old new XJs, most on AT have everything I'd want, but I have adaptive cruise on my current Lexus and I don't think I could live without it. So far I haven't seen any on AT with the extra buttons on the steering wheel. Was this an option on all trims? Does it start at a certain year or trim level?
Thanks

I can't answer your question with regard to trim levels, but I have it on my XF Sportbreak and I can tell you that it seems to be an extremely rarely-specced option on Jaguars.
It's also a bit clunky, compared to the Mercedes Distronic system that I had on the S-class that preceded my Jaguar, so you might want to consider how much of a benefit is is over standard cruise control - the Jaguar system can't crawl in heavy traffic (it switches itself off at about 25mph, I think) and is prone to being over-sensitive to traffic in neighbouring lanes on motorways (which can be annoying, bordering on dangerous, when it suddenly decides to throw on the anchors when you're in the outside lane of the motorway.
