"Jaguar paint shop workers change deodorant
Workers at a UK car paint shop are using deodorants containing a chemical which leaves a powdery residue on new cars.
Bosses at Jaguar's Halewood factory on Merseyside are tying to find an underarm deodorant which doesn't contain aluminium oxide.
So far they have found three. One retails for just 99p.
As a result, supermarket giant Asda has agreed to supply 3,000 cans of body spray to the paint shop technicians.
Jaguar has said it takes quality assurance very seriously and paint shop workers have volunteered to have sweat samples taken from their shirts to test the deodorant they use.
If it contains the offending chemical, the worker will have to shower and put on fresh clothes, reports the Daily Express.
Andy Adcock from Asda said: "We're pleased to hear our men's body spray is as easy on Jaguar's paintwork as it is on the underarm."
All in the name of a decent paint job!
