Occasionally , especially if you really appreciate your Jaguars you see a car for sale that you simply cant take your eyes off . I have to say that I think this represents very good value for money and I would hope it would be snapped up by a real Jaguar Enthusiast . What a wonderful car in a lovely colour , what do you think ?

There will be a few manual gearbox men looking at this car , Jamie Duff I am interested in what you think about the Walnut trim , I know you weren't keen in the X150 but surely you must agree it looks very apt in this XJR ? Birds Eye Maple I completely detest . I love the little console around the gearshift .

This isn't the normal interior for an X300 XJR, they had dark stained maple, it's almost black.
If you look at the brochure ( https://www.jag-lovers.org/brochures/xjr95.html ) you'll see examples shots. The main dash should have black surrounds for the instruments and not wooden ones. I don't think that the wooden surrounds for the instruments wasn't introduced until the X308. I wonder whether the lighter wooden veneers for the rest of the interior were a special order or whether a previous owner fancied the more "classic" Jaguar look.

Actually looking at the car all the interior capping is light which I didn't thing was a listed option, I though both XJ-Sport and XJRs had black dash tops and things like the box between the front seats and charcoal grey carpets. So I suspect that it must have been a special order.

There have been many great comments on Simpos low mileage XK Thread above but for me this is where the real essence of Jaguar Ownership resides and its still attainable by the working man . Anyone coming up to retirement and contemplating what next could do much worse than become the next owner of this XJR . Imagine the many happy hours spent fettling her whilst her indoors busies herself with the Hoover . After a bit you give her a shout and its off across the Chilterns or over the Moors north of Manchester , perhaps you have the Surrey Hills on your doorstep or the Cotswolds . A wicker basket Hamper into the boot a blanket and off you go .Then there is the lovely social scene with Jaguar gatherings up and down the Country all populated by like minded Enthusiasts . This is what England is all about . Perhaps being Scottish and after being granted Asylum down here for the last 40 years I appreciate it a bit more than you blokes . Sturgeon will add me to her Blacklist now . laugh

Ah yes, so you lot come down from Chilly Jocko-Land to drive around our countryside in classic Jags and nick all our jobs, and we go up to your place armed with shotguns, hire a castle and clear out the wildlife population...!

But seriously, Scotland has moors and hills too, and much more space...
