I was browsing earlier and came across the above car which to be fair is very well presented . Its the interior for me that lets the car down , when you are buying a Classic then to my mind originality is key and I would be literally crying if I had sent this car off for restoration and was then presented with the above . Hopefully for the sake of some debate , some of you will completely disagree with me but sadly this type of over restoration seems to be the norm where classic Jaguars are concerned . I dont think its a " good look " as the old girlfriend was fond of saying when discussing the merits of PVC leggings

Honestly , when it comes to restored car interiors some people have a complete fetish for piping Up here where I am Newport Pagnell is on my doorstep . When Aston ceased Production many of these skilled craftsmen set up Businesses in various Farm Units and such like continuing to practise their respective skillsets . One I know quite well is a Trimmer and he often has interesting projects underway any time I visit mostly Aston and Post War Bentleys . The last time I was up there someone had commissioned a full leather retrim on a red MG , cream leather with red piping .
