Who is doing big miles in a XJ8
Discussion
So have spent a lot of years smoking around in rusty XJ6’s and 9 years ago had a really lovely XJ8 sport. Went German for 6 years and have realised that cars are so dull now and I need to return to the fold. I do 400 miles a week and want to get back to a tidy XJ8 which looks so cool now. So who is doing big miles in a XJ8? With out question you could keep one running for ever?

Whats your preference a Diesel or a Petrol ?If you are doing the necessary mileage then the Diesel can make sense . I tend to think back to the early XJ Models of the Seventies and some of these later versions both Petrol and Diesel are covering stratospheric mileages in comparison . A personal favourite of mine is the 3.0 V6 SE X350 which is often overlooked in favour of the V8s but is surprisingly adequate and almost indistinguishable from the larger models .

Here is an example , 187,000 miles covered ! Granted not the best presented X350 in the marketplace but its the mileage capabilities of the engine that we are discussing
