I have come past this Garage a few times and to be fair they always seem to stock a few Jaguars but sadly I always find them to be high mileage and therefore of little interest . This however will be an attraction to many Jaguar Enthusiasts . I had initially thought it may be a Japanese Import but it appears to be of the homegrown variety . I am wondering what do you do with such a car , do you use it sparingly to keep some value or simply enjoy her as Jaguar intended ? For me the elephant in the room is the Aluminium XJR and this money buys the best of them . I havent the Production figures at hand though I would guess the STR to be the rarer car ? At the money being asked I suspect it may hang about for a bit , what do you think , £12.5 K initial bid ?

'This car is certainly only going to go one way in value'

I think there are a lot of intangibles when it comes to appreciating Jaguar Saloons Simpo . Historically at least initially , they havent provided great returns and with these R Models there is no easy past reference point . You would have probably pointed to the 3.8 Mk 2 which has taken many decades to reach £35k ? Does the cachet of the R Badge and the Supercharging change things ? Clearly big money is occasionally being asked but is it being paid ? I dont know

Cannot see what's so "special" about this car.

Purely the colour as far as I can make out though its very low mileage and good condition .

That STR would have to be perfect for that kind of cash, but struggle why someone would want a £19k STR.

My money would go on the £9k grey one on Auto Trader (not sure how to do a link from AT).

I hope value does so up, so mine will be worth more smile

I totally agree with you , I think when a car like this has covered such a low mileage then its in danger of entering Investor territory . Values going up ? I think they must but not at the rate some in the Trade would have you believe . Only yesterday I came across an XJS billed as the next E Type , fine car as it may be , I struggle with the idea of purchasing such a car on that basis
