Performance Upgrades
Discussion
If you search http://forums1.roadfly.com/jaguar/forums/xk8/6780248-1.html you should find the results of a recent rolling road test of different air intakes, it shows no benefit. If you have an XK you can get more power with an exhaust upgrade replacing the rear pipes that on the standard system suffer from a constriction. Changing the supercharger pulley also works as the current system works at a low gain.
Good luck
Good luck
I put my XKR on the rolling road the other month.
Since then I have had the supercharger upgrade done.
I hope to get back on the rolling road again friday, I will post up the %age increase.
As previous posting I agree change of filter position will not make any difference, infact it could be detrimental as you are taking in hot air.
If it is of any interest I did a 13.5 sec 1/4 mile at Santa pod the other weekend.
