If you’re considering, do it. It’s fantastic, drives so well, ballistic performance. Just borrowing it for the weekend, but wow it’s capable and a big step up on the interior from the previous car

The screen software and usability is abysmal though. Why can’t they just get it right? Steering wheel and mirror switchgear is also pretty poor.

I hate SUVs with a passion, so I’ll stick to mine for now biggrin

Have you actually sat in a car and used Pivi Pro?

Is that the version that even Jaguar have trouble fixing?

That's a no then, it's a very good system.

Instant switch on, slick, smooth, lovely screen (size & resolution), two phone connection, attractive maps etc. I imagine the fact they can update it remotely will help sort out the inevitably Jlr "release headaches". biglaugh

Pivi Pro is absolutely fine. Touch Pro duo is absolutely fine too after all the years of updates.

The internet: Comment on something you don’t know about, spouting info as if it’s fact. Shame

Aww bless. Do you feel all snug now after that comment hehe

It’s a fact.

JLR are years behind the competition wrt screen tech. The dealers have problems fixing the issues it can give. There’s a guy on jaginfo who’s car was in for 2+ weeks with Jaguar themselves involved.

Back to the SVR. Lovely car, very tempting. Shame about the limited interior options. Would have liked a high end portfolio with his engine.

Now that the VelarSVA has gone, and the RRS is even more limited in interior options, its definately the best way to get the high power 5.0l.

Decent infotainment too.

Not sure what’s funnier. You thinking Jag screen tech is award winning or the fact you clearly haven’t experienced up to date tech that actually works hehe

...but wait there's more!! Funniest of all is still internet armchair experts who don't know what they're talking about!

I'd forgotten this wonderful thread until I read the Disco5 review, and never one to back down from correcting clearly miss informed individuals online, I happened upon an interesting quote! '' ...and now boasts one of the best infotainment systems in the business. ''

You don't need to thank me...it's a service I provide! hehe

i’m thinking of one of these - how did you get on with it?

Dare I ask if you checked the mpg? it’s the one thing putting me off.

It’s not even really the money more just can’t be arsed with poor range and find sub 25 av. combined choresome

Excellent Carfection vid came out yesterday. Gives good insight. Pivi is decent. Engine remains as on form as ever.

Mpg will be c. 20 on anything of this size and performance.

20 i can live with (used to 25/26 on last 2 cars. I don’t tend to hoof it too often really. Just can’t be bothered with an average of like 15 think it would grate fairly quickly

I do find this newer version somewhat desirable. I think it's the growl is makes from when you start it up, until you turn it off that makes this.

Currently running a F85 X5M, and although very capable and wonderfully built, it's too bloody quiet. It doesn't have the rumbling V8 that Jag have absolutely nailed in the 5.0 supercharged lump.

Will have to do the man maths and see how i can trade in the X5M for one of these.

I had a demo for a few days and 300 miles of every type of driving.I LOVED it. First time in ages, I’d grab the keys and just go out for a drive. Miss it even now.

At the eleven 11th hour Jaguar finally get back to where they should have been 10 years ago. Styling, interior, infotainment are all awesome.

It will do 10-20mpg I’m afraid. It sounds epic and you just wanna play with it. Low 20’s on m/way with the 8 speed auto, but it is utterly lush.

The engine is epic.
