Has anyone done this in the past week or two?

If so, was it actually any good, or were you restricted to 3,000rpm and 3rd gear?

I did it a while back, and it was pretty good, none of that nonsense - if you were restricted to 3,000 rpm, I suggest that you ask for your money back. I was on a BMW day, it was full on racing in M4’s. That is what I call an experience.

They aren't going to sell many cars like that.

I went to the FOC fen end event. No limitations on speed they encouraged you to go quicker. I did 164 mph down the straight in the new R with 575 bhp

I was at Fen End on Monday.

Well organised, very covid safe. Nice burger and chips.

Skid pan, handling and a great slalom "game" - plus hitting 165 ish mph on the straight in a V8R.

Really glad I went and a fab day out.

There's a big thread running on this on the FType owners forum

Sounds more like it.

What is the new F Type like? Much different to drive from previously?

It’s a mid cycle action - so changes are pretty much cosmetic apart from the engine changes. Fundamentally the same car

Hi All
We are considering buying a F-Type (5.0L)
We test drove one a few weeks ago and the wife seems to be on board!!!
How do we go about getting/buying one of these experience days?

Thanks for the updates.

I'm going there today - it's going to be raining - but from what's been posted, I think it's still worth going.

To the person asking how to get on the list - I looked into F-Types just over a year ago - really good sales guy at the Jaguar dealers in Amersham. He must have put my name on some list, and now I get a the odd email from Jaguar, and then the invite to this. If you only started looking a few weeks ago, I suspect your name hasn't made it's way through the system yet. Invites for this were sent out towards the end of September.
