XK Rattling seat

I recently bought a new XK8 and it’s drivers’ seat has been rattling and driving me mad ever since. I bought it from Guy Salmon near Oxford and for the past 18 months they’ve been fiddling around with it and have done nothing but make it worse. I am at the point of torching the damn thing in front of their showroom as a warning to other considering buying a similar car. As I’; sure that the local constabulary would take a dim view of this method of garbage disposal maybe someone here could advise me on a way of fixing this problem.

My passenger seat does the same. The cure is simple: carry around a baby seat behind the rattling seat - you can with time and imagination kid yourself it's the £99 piece of plastic from Mothercare rattling, not your £50k Jaguar.

I have two cars - Ooh! The other one is a £170 Vauxhall Carlton. Does it rattle? NO! Silent as the grave! It won't get through another MOT but it's a quieter ride than a £50K XK.
