XKR Dynamic R SPACESAVER
Discussion
Hi
I have a 2014 XKR Dynamic R. These cars have the larger front callipers from the XKR-S.
I’ve had two blowouts on potholes with no spare wheel option. Jaguar Assistance both times.
Has anyone found a spacesaver that fits these cars? I have the recessed boot, so could carry a spacesaver.
Thanks in anticipation

I have a full space XKR space saver kit (wheel, jack, brace, bag, foam thingy etc) which I bought for my 5.0 XK but never used (and then kept when I px'd that car). It is the 'red' one which I think I the larger one (not 100% sure though). Not been used - bobbles still on tyre. If it will fit yours I'm happy to sell - but you are 300+ miles from me !
Hi
I bought the black one and found out that it didn’t fit over the calipers. Fortunately I was able to return it.
The Dynamic R was the last run out model and got the calipers from the more expensive and powerful XKR-S.
As I’ve already made a mistake, I’m desperate to find another owner of the Dynamic R to see if they’ve found a solution.
Thanks for your replies

i am researching this as well, was it the 19 inch wheel that you tried, and are you running on Brembro calipers.I bought the black one and found out that it didn’t fit over the calipers. Fortunately I was able to return it.

Not sure whether they are Brembo. I assume they are exactly the same as the ones from the
XKR-S.
Yeah I think it was the 19” wheel, but can’t be sure as I’ve returned it now.
If it is a 2014 dynamic r it should run brembro calipers which are usually red, there was an option of alcon carbon brakes painted yellow.XKR-S.

XK Dynamic R, XKR-S, XKR 75 and "regular" 5.0 XKR calipers are all identical, just some are red and some are grey. XKR-S got different rear pads but that's about the only difference. All are made by ATE Teeves, Brembo never made calipers for the alloy body X150 cars, only the older X100 steel body models.
The older 4.2 XKR-S and XKR Portfolio got the Alcon 6-pot calipers on front and 4-pot calipers on the rear, these had larger discs than the regular XKR of that time.

No idea I'm afraid. I know some of the 19" alloy wheels will fit over the brakes but can't say for space savers. I'd think you might have an issue with the rolling circumference of the overall wheel and tyre on a 19" spacesaver being lower than that of the other wheels, if they are all 20".Thanks
