About to dust off my XJS
Discussion
My XJS has been garaged for a good while while I have been busy and mostly driving my Merc SLK. I am about to freshen up some internals and her suspension, followed by a fresh coat at the Brother in Law's body shop. I still contend that there is a certain feeling one gets driving one of these. I am seeing that their "bad rep" is still keeping prices down. Pure ignorance, people not realizing that this does not apply to all model years of XJS.

Are they going up? I haven't checked carefully lately. I hope you are correct. Not looking to sell mind you, just glad to hear.
It might be model dependent. Things like a convertible celebration model are going for silly money, the equivalent, run out, V12s are like rocking horse droppings (wish I'd bought one when I was offered a good deal on it new). Jimbeaux said:
I have the coupe. 1995, so one of the “good ones” with the XJ16 engine. I favor convertibles, however, I believe the XJS in coupe, with its buttresses and all, are just the look. Not to mention they are rarer.
I'd forgotten you're States side, over here, in the UK. the coupes are much more common than the convertibles. But since the convertibles are more valuable people import them back to here.a8hex said:

I didn’t know that. Thank you. Now that you mention it, I read that the vert was made due to US demand for one. Your remark makes complete sense. Edited by Jimbeaux on Thursday 13th February 17:07
