Hi,

A family member is interested in a 2014-15 model year F Type 3.0 S (380) Coupe and would like to know what improvements (fixes) Jaguar have introduced since launch.

I’ve seen references to a software update for the info system and changes made to the central locking module to improve security in 2015 on ftypeforums but not been able to find technical campaigns that Jag may have issued for anything else.

Were there any manufacturing issues resolved in 2015 or later years that should be taken into consideration?

Any other changes that PHers are aware of that would help with decision making?

Appreciate spending more and buying as new as possible, but looking at options within budget and there is a 2014 car with the spec wanted and a 2015 car with less desirable spec.

Thanks

esso

The infotainment changed around 2015, slightly different screen, new software and also different screen in the instrument cluster.

They look better (the original looks slightly pixelated/poorer quality in comparison but that was about it. The early Meridian systems weren't great, apparently they released an updated subwoofer design to improve this on later cars, although I don't know when it was introduced.

I have an earlier 2014 V6 S and can't say I'm too upset that I don't have the above - for me the spec and having the performance bodykit was more important!

One noticeable difference is that much thinner and lighter seats were introduced fairly recently (2018 model year I think).

These given more scope for increased headroom and legroom.
