2012 XK-R Servicing
Discussion
Morning folks,
Dad's Jag is due for a service, it's a 2012 XK-R with the 5.0 S/C engine, only on 23k miles. It has full main dealer history, so I'd like to maintain that.
Last year I enquired about spark plugs, and was told they didn't need doing at the time, would need them this year at 7 years old. Trying to book it in again now, and the dealer is insisting it just needs an interim service, no plugs, no belts.
Does anyone have an actual service schedule, which says when everything is due to be done? I know the car is low mileage, but I don't like the thought of leaving plugs in it indefinitely!
Cheers in advance,
Jon

If you go onto the Jaguar website and pop your vin into the service history page here: https://www.jaguar.co.uk/owners/servicing-maintena... then click on the third tab "SERVICING INFORMATION" you can then access a drop down list of service intervals. Choose the one you want and hit submit to see the official service schedule for your specific car.

At 23k it's still early, but certainly towards 50k you might want to have supercharger and gearbox oil changes and swap the cooling hose that goes under the supercharger. These are all items that don't rank very high on the dealer's list of service work, but are very worthwhile for long-term ownership.
Thanks to Dunc above I have a copy of the service schedule... At 7 years it's due its 84 month / 105k mile service which includes the plugs and supercharger belt.
HA Fox Guildford still maintain it just needs an interim service, but I called Harwoods Basingstoke on Friday who confirmed (without any prompting) that it was a major service with plugs and belts required.
