To fit poly bushes or not to classic XJ6
Discussion
As the title says, I’m getting to a position to start fitting new bushes to the front and rear suspension on a 1977 xj6 coupe. What I’m wondering should I fit poly bushes as a long term maintenance free item or perhaps a mix of original type and poly? The rear axle is 90% taper bearings where as the front has push in rubber lower wishbone bushes but a rather natty design top wishbone bearing/bush.
The car is to be fitted with shorter springs hence being in two minds of what bushes to fit.
My gut feeling is change the front lower wishbone and front anti-roll bar to poly bushes but keep the original natty design top wishbone bush.
If anybody has any experience in these matters I would be extremely grateful
