Discussion
I am a little confused. I’m looking to shop for a Jaguar XFR, likely the 2009-2010 version. I would very much like the 440W B&W sound system, but can’t figure out how to work out whether it is fitted or not. Many adverts are a little vague on the subject and was wondering whether there was an easy way to identify cars with it, simply from interior pictures. Also, were the cooling seats an option or standard on all XFRs of this era?
I run a 59 plate XFR, so exactly what your looking at.
From memory the base system for this year was 380w and didn’t have any logos on the speaker grills but did run b&w speakers but not the b&w amp etc.
Then it goes to the 440w system with b&w logos on grills and b&w amp etc.
Then up to a 1200w system.
I have the base 380w system, it sounds just ok, but I’m more a window down and listen to exhaust guy.
Cooling/heated seats were standard.
When looking at early ones, check if the supercharger/nose has been rebuilt/replaced, there known to wear and rattle.
Paul.

Thanks for the advice. Just need to get out there and look at a few now. Third party warranty seems to be about £100pcm so might go with that for peace of mind.
Looking for one with the B&W 440W, reversing camera and preferably a sunroof. The latter doesn't seem to have been a popular option.

I’m the 2nd owner of mine.
Just had a look at the original invoice.
Purchased New December 2009. Prices include vat.
Car - £60205
Delivery - £525
Road Fund - £460
Options.
Sunroof - £995
Parking aid/camera - £395
Blind spot monitor - £450
Adaptive cruise control - £995
Illuminated tread plates - £286
Original purchaser did get £4K discount , which pretty much covers the options.

XFs are much better without the sunroof; the car is more rigid, and there is no opportunity for leaks via blocked or corroded drainage channels.Looking for one with the B&W 440W, reversing camera and preferably a sunroof. The latter doesn't seem to have been a popular option.

Oh, and get a warranty of some kind. The engine isn’t bullet proof. My 2015 R-S is currently in having about £12k worth of engine work.
That is pretty unusual for this engine though isn’t it. Isn’t the general consensus that it is very nearly bulletproof?fatboy b said:
