F-pace manual?

My employer is offering a number of options for a 'stop gap' company car (which i'll have for about 2 years).

While being used to driving BMWs (I know...), I've been pretty intrigued by the Jaguar F-Pace for a while.
amongst the options, there is only 1 Jaguar F-Pace (a 2.0d, AWD Prestige with panoramic roof). The only caveat is that the car has a manual gearbox. Having been used to the wonderful ZF 8-speed automatic, I was wondering if anyone could let me know how the F-pace drives with a manual gearbox. (amongst what is on offer, a nicely specced BMW 520d automatic is the main other contender)

Any Diesel engine, especially in traffic, with a manual box is crap.

Get the BMW.
