Toying with the idea of getting the above car. The only trouble I do 120 miles of motorway driving for my commute. This would be instead of the 2L diesel - any “real world” comparisons would be very helpful.
What realistic mpg figures could I get driving sensibly? Ignoring potential traffic etc.

Mine does 35 mpg overall (checked brim to brim every time I fill up), fast'ish A/B roads and motorway but generally no stop start traffic. Best was 39, worst 33.

I don't hang about, but I don't tend to thrash it either.

It's a really nice engine smile

That Ingenium 4 pot diesel is poor, even by the low standards of 4 pot diesels. It ruins any idea that it's any sort of "luxury" car.

Isn’t the 3.0 the old Ford that has a tendency to destroy itself?

Was just given a 2.0D F-Pace as a loaner. It was awful. While it was smooth, quiet and plenty of punch (at low speeds), nothing about it said Jaguar and the pickup from start was awful. You had to squeeze the throttle, otherwise the turbo would spin up and you’d shoot off, snapping your neck. It also had a small fuel tank......

3.0D is more of a Jaguar. Not heard too much about crankshaft failures in F-Paces, but as with the 2.0D, oil diltution is a factor.
